The thunderegg is a fortification agate ( banded in layers ). Sometimes, also containing opal, usually pink, and enclosed by a hardened compact matrix. The matrix usually contains silica ash. It is usually found in spherical formations and internally, exhibits a star like pattern. It sometimes exhibits an additional flower like configuration, the most famous being priday plume.
The ancients believed that the thundereggs were a results of the wrath and anger of the gods, being thrown upon the earth in a fit of rage over which was occurring in the society below. They also have a connection with the god of thunder (thor) in Scandinavian mythology, and provide for a link to those ancient thoughts.
The thunderegg can be used to decrease anger and hostility. It can be used to provide a link with the star people of this planet and with those potential star people from the other realms. The link can produce physical awareness induced into ones physical reality. It also acts to instill a community affiliation, promulgating with stability, allowing for ‘right’ thought followed by ‘ right ‘ action. It assists one in listening with intention and in acting with intensity.
The plume thunderegg can in addition, stimulate ones growth towards the light, allowing for the pathway towards growth to be lighted by the lamp of inner joy. It facilitates a nurturing quality and assists one to grow in an ‘easeful’ manner. The energy is one of joy and peace, and is especially helpful during times of great stress. It helps to stimulate ideas and to give substance and continuity to thought. It is used to manifest the ‘lovely’ into ones life. It also allows one to recognize that , within each person and situation, there is peace and beauty.
